According to the rules, combat logging is logging out within 10 minutes from the last hit during the current confrontation. So if that guy logged within 10 minutes from the moment you or your squadmates landed your last shot on them, they broke the rules. If you didn't land any shots on them, there's no way of telling whether they combat logged.

TY. It must have been that I didn't land a shot on target then, I fired 3-4 shots, but it was 800m away. I looked away for 15-20s to deal with a zombie, but there's no way he could've reached the forest in that time - that airdrop was in the middle of the field and he was prone just south of the box..
